Town Board Meetings

The Regular Meetings of the Town of La Jara Board of Trustees are held on the Second Thursday of Each Month at 6:00 p.m. at La Jara Town Hall, 221 Broadway.  Meeting Dates are Subject to Change.

Notice of Work Session to be held February 16, 2026 6:00pm to discuss Sales Tax Referendum language. 

The Town of La Jara will be holding a Special meeting on February 16, 2026 6:30pm- Action Items are the following:

Approve Resolution 2026-03 A resolution of the Town of La Jara setting title and content of a ballot issue increasing the town sales and use tax from three(3) percent to four (4) percent, referring such issue to the electorate at the April 7th, 2026, Tow Election, and designating the election official with the responsibility of the conduct of said election. 

Approving the associated Ballot language for a One(1)% Sales Tax increase 

Approve Resolution 2026-04- A Resolution of the Town Board of Trustees of the Town of La Jara referring the issue of allowing the establishment of retail marijuana stores and taxing such establishments within the Town of La Jara to the Town electorate. 

Approval of Proposed ballot question regarding a measure relating to the allowance of retail marijuana stores in the Town of La Jara.
